THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 16th: second day of “SPORT MOVIES & TV 2017 – 35TH MILANO INTERNATIONAL FICTS FEST”, Final of 16 Festivals (in the 5 Continents) of the “World FICTS Challenge” Worldwide Championship of Cinema, Television and Sport Culture, scheduled in Milan from 15th to 20th November (entrance by Invitation. Aaccreditation available at link https://www.sportmoviestv.net/en/registration-form/).

At 6.00 pm is scheduled at Palazzo Giureconsulti (Milan, Piazza Mercanti 2) the preview of The Official Film of the Olympic Games Rio 2016, directed by Breno Silveira.

The projection will be preceded by the award ceremony of the oldest living Italian Olympic athletes: Irene Camber (91 years old, fencer, gold in Helsinki 1952 and bronze in Rome in 1960), Giancarlo Bergamini (91 years old, fencer, 1 gold and 2 silver in Helsinki 1952 Melbourne 1956) and Giuseppe Moioli (90 years old, rower, gold in London 1948). Dr. Oreste Perri, President of CONI Lombardia, delegate of the President of the CONI National Dr. Giovanni Malagò, will intervene.

The day will be inaugurated by the FICTS General Assembly, with the presentation of the International Circuit of “World FICTS Challenge 2018 by the organizers of each stage: Juli Pernas (Spain), Gao Yunchao and Wei Dengfan (China), Alejandro Panno (Argentina) Nikolay Porokovnik (Russia), Pat Battistini (United States), Surya Thapaliya (Nepal), Josè Joaquim and Josè Candido Soares (Brazil), Antonio Leal (Brazil), Dean Kibirige (Uganda), Pavel Landa and Vladmir Bohac (Czech Republic) ), Lisette Eijgelsheim (Netherlands), Renato Tullio Ferrari (France), Sabir Ruziev (Uzbekistan), Seyed Amir Hosseini (Iran), Aleksandar Avramovic (Serbia), Gayle Garth (Jamaica).

At the 12.45 p.m.  inauguration (in occasiono f the “Beijing Day”) of the Exhibition “Beijing in Milan: Cinema and Sports”, organized by the BODA (Beijing Olympic Development Association): projection of Chinese film-making films, winners of the “Beijing International Sports Film Week”.

Throughout the Festival you can visit the other exhibitions in the program: “Donne sportive in prima pagina” (of Mirco Cussigh); “Olympic Images, Olympic Values” and “Poster Film Ufficiali Olimpici”; “Gli Eroi di Bonelli”; “3D Sport Emotions: lo sport come non l’avete mai visto”.

At 8.30 p.m., at Sala Colonne, there will be the presentation of the film “CHIEDI CHI ERA FALCAO”, in the presence of Paulo Roberto Falcao (ex AS Roma player) and film director David Rossi. The story of the “Eighth King of Rome” since its origins, a trip from Italy to Brazil and return to explain also to those who did not live “Who was Falcao”.

Among the 41 screenings scheduled: “MIRACLE LESSON” (Basketball, NHK – Japan Broadcasting Corporation, Japan – 2016, 50 min) at 3 pm in Sala Colonne, documentary on the experience of great basketball players teaching children; “LA REGOLA DI MARCO” (Motorcycle, Sky Sport – Sky Italia, Italy – 2016, 83 min) at 5.20 pm at the Sala Donzelli, documentary on Marco Simoncelli; “UNTOLD STORIES – WHY GERMANY’S WOMEN FOOTBALLERS ARE SO SUCCESSFUL” at 6.05 pm at the Sala Colonne, on the successes of the German women’s national football team, the most successful team ever ; “BARS” (Calisthenics, Tangerine Tree, Netherlands – 2017, 19 min), at 6.45 pm in Column Hall, documentary on calisthenics, one of the sports of the moment.
