Kazan (Rep. of Tatarstan – Russia), after the success of “2015 Kazan Worldwide Final of World FICTS Challenge” organized in conjunction with the FINA Swimming World Championships, will host the “KAZAN SPORT E-MOTIONS – International FICTS Festival”. The event, organized by the Ministry of Sport and Youth of the Republic of Tatarstan under the aegis of the FICTS – Federation Internationale Cinema Television Sportifs (joined with 114 Member Countries and recognized by the International Olympic Committee) as part of the Worldwide Championship of Television, Cinema, Sport, Culture and Communication (articulated in 18 Festivals around the 5 Continents), will be scheduled for 12 to 15 May 2016 during the Sambo European Championships, the sport that made its debut during the first 2015 Baku European Games and that strive for enter as a demonstrative discipline in 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games. The agreement for the organization of the Festival in Kazan, “Sports Capital of Russia” (it was, among the others, the seat of the Universiade 2013 and the 2014 World Fencing Championships), was signed in Lausanne (Switzerland) at the end of the meeting between Prof. Franco Ascani FICTS President and Dr Olga Pavlova Member of the Organizing Committee of the 2015 Worldwide Final and of the Phase of “World FICTS Challenge 2016” on behalf of Dr Diana Safarova Festival Director General (Member in FICTS International Festival Commission).

The President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, who showed a particular interest in hosting an international event in Kazan connected to sports culture, will attend to the official Ceremonies of the Festival together with the highest institutional, civil and military Authorities of the Republic of Tatarstan, with the Presidents and Representatives of the International Sports Federations let alone the officials of the International Olympic Committee, including the Minister of Sport and Youth of the Republic of Tatarstan Mr Vladimir Aleksandrovich Leonov and the Deputy Mr Khalil Shaykhutdinov, the President of SPORTACCORD and ASOIF (Association of Summer Olympic International Federations) Mr Francesco Ricci Bitti.
