40 days left (July 25th) to the binding closing submissions to “SPORT MOVIES & TV 2017 – 35th Milano International FICTS Fest” Final of 16 Festivals (around the 5 Continents) of the “World FICTS Challenge” Worldwide Championship of Television, Cinema, Sport, Culture and Communication scheduled in Milano (Italy), from November 15th to 20th.
Football – with the productions on Confederation Cup 2017 (June 17th – July 2nd) in the “Movies & Tv Football” Section – will be the protagonist on screen. For six days (in 6 projections at the same time), there will be, in video, the stars of “most popular game in the world” like Cristiano Ronaldo, Messi, Platini, Maradona, Paulo Roberto Falcao and of sport in general like Valentino Rossi, Rafa Nadal as well as the Olympic and Paralympic Champions of Rio 2016.
The seventeenth century Palazzo Giureconsulti, in the hearth of Milano (in Piazza Duomo) – besides to host the “Opening Ceremony” (on Wednesday, November 15th) – will be the “Core business” of the event (entrance by invitation upon necessary confirmation) articulated into Projections (till now 30 worldwide and European premieres, etc. in 6 points of projections), 4 Meetings, 2 Workshop, 4 Exhibitions, 2 Press Conference, 30 Awards of international guests, 20 Side Events distributed in different locations around Milano in collaboration with sports and cultural organizations.
A six-day program with several appointments articulated in 10 prestigious venues, a “Widespread Festival” across the whole of Milan territory which will transform the city into a place dedicated to professionals, fans and tourists of any age. All the admitted productions to the Festival will have maximum visibility at the international level. In addition to appearing on the program of the event, a detailed illustrated booklet is included in the Catalogue of the Festival, in the “Selected” and “General Archive” section on the official website of FICTS while the trailer will be published online in the same section. A Selection Commission of the Federation will choose some of the best productions that will be sent to the Festivals of the “World FICTS Challenge 2018”.

The event, that is a privileged place of meeting for authors, media, television broadcastings, operating, important world-wide Networks, radio, houses of production, major, producers, directors, filmmakers, Olympic Committees and Sports Federations, advertising and integrated communication agencies, is an important “international showcase” for the productions that will compete for the assignment of the “Guirlande d’Honneur” the “Oscar of Sports Cinema and Television”, of the “Mention d’Honneur” and of the “Special Prize” which will be assigned for each Section by an International Jury (Presided by Dr Carlo Bozzali).
The news of 2017 is the competition “Create a spot for Sport Movies & Tv” whose goal is to produce a video (maximum length 30’’) to be used as a promotion of the upcoming edition of the Festival. The winner will receive a cash prize of € 2.000 and an invitation (for four people) to the Festival.
The event – through “FICTS is Culture through sport” slogan – is organized by FICTS – Federation Internationale Cinema Television Sportifs, joined with 116 Member Countries (chaired by Prof. Franco Ascani Member of “IOC Commission for Culture and Olympic Heritage”) and recognized by the International Olympic Committee for which it promotes the values of sport through footages.
