The submissions to SPORT MOVIES & TV 2016 – 34th Milano International FICTS Fest Final of the “SPORT E-MOTIONS World FICTS ChallengeChampionship of Television, Cinema, Sport, Culture and Communication (articulated in 18 Festivals around the 5 Continents) scheduled in Milano (Italy), from November 16th to 21st, will definitively closed on 20 June, 2016.

The event is a considerable “world showcase” for Networks, media, broadcastings, houses of productions, producers, directors, filmmakers, Olympic Committees, advertising and integrated communication agencies, that will show the whole universe of cinema and sport television through spot, reportages, fiction, cartoon, etc.

There are 7 competitive Sections: 1. Olympic Spirit (Olympic Values); 2. Documentary (Individual sports; Team sports; Great Champions; Reportage); 3. TV Shows & New Technologies (Sports programs, Talk Shows, Entertaining; New Media); 4. Sport & Society (Sport & Solidarity; Sport for All, Education, Technique/didactics); 5. Movies (Fiction); 6. Sports Adverts (Social/Institutional advertising, Commercial advertising); 7. Movies & Tv Football and a Special Section about “Cartoons”. The International Jury (Honorary President Dr. Carlo Bozzali), composed by exponents of cinema, television, media, sport and culture coming from Countries that don’t participate in the Festival, will assign the “la “Guirlande d’Honneur”, the “Oscar of Cinema and Sport Television”, the “Mention d’Honneur”, the “Special Awards” for each 7 Sections and the “FICTS Award” valued at 5.000 €.

All the 150 productions Selected to the Festival, besides screened, will be shown with profile in the official Catalogue of the Festival. The trailer and the full information (picture, synopsis, etc.) of each movies will be edit on this new FICTS Portal dedicated to the world of cinema, television, web and sports culture does not only concern the graphic design but also its structure is expanded with new categories and contents. FICTS will pay 50% of the cost of the overnight stay only to the NASCO HOTEL (4 stars, Corso Sempione 69, in the center of Milano) for all the period of the Festival. The seventeenth century Palazzo Giureconsulti, in the hearth of Milano (in Piazza DUOMO), will be the “Core business” of the event (entrance by invitation upon necessary confirmation) articulated into Projections (till now 29 worldwide and European premieres, etc. in 6 points of projections), 4 Meetings, 2 Workshop, 4 Exhibitions, 2 Press Conference, 30 Awards of international guests, 20 Side Events distributed in different locations around Milano in coollaboratioon with sports and cultural organizations.

The Opening of the Festival on November 16 will be anticipated by the inauguration of the Exhibition of “IOC Sports Artist of the Year 2014” Mina Papatheodorou-Valyraki. The “award Ceremony” will be held on 21 November on the occasion of “World day of Television”. During the Festival is scheduled the traditional Workshop “New International Sport Movies Television Market Trends” on trends of the television field, Internet and mobile platforms for a comparison on the future developments in order to check the current system of business and in order to analyze future trends through dialogue between different actors in the audiovisual sport production and distribution.

The event – through “FICTS is Culture through sport” slogan – is organized by FICTS – Federation Internationale Cinema Television Sportifs, joined with 114 Member Countries (chaired by Prof. Franco Ascani Member of “IOC Commission for Culture and Olympic Heritage” and recognized by the International Olympic Committee for which it promotes the values of sport through footages.
