The FICTS President Prof. Franco Ascani together with Culture Council member of the Municipality of Milano Filippo Del Corno had officially presented the program of “Sport Movies & Tv 2013 – 31st Milano International FICTS Fest” Final of 14 Festivals of the Worldwide Championship of Cinema and Sport Television “World FICTS Challenge” carried out in the 5 Continents scheduled in Milano (Italy) from 4th to 8th December. The event is organized by FICTS (Fédération Internationale Cinéma Télévision Sportifs, joined with 113 Countries) recognized by IOC – International Olympic Committee. The Federation, with seat in Milano (Italy), is presided by Prof. Franco Ascani Member of IOC Commission for “Culture and Olympic Education”.
The “Opening Ceremony” (Wednesday 4 December – 6 p.m.) and the “Award Ceremony” (Sunday 8 December – 6 p.m.) at the presence of highest institutional, civil and sport Authorities will be held at “Palazzo Lombardia” (Piazza della Città della Lombardia). The “Core business” (5 – 6 – 7 – 8 December with Projections, Meeting, Workshop and Exhibitions will be “Palazzo Giureconsulti” (Piazza Mercanti, 2 – corner Piazza Duomo)
On Tuesday, December 3rd (at 8.30 p.m.) Palazzo Giureconsulti will host the Russian movie – in European premiere – “MATCH” introduced by the director Andrey Malyukov and producer Ilya Neretin: the famous “Game of Death” played in 1942 between a selection of ex-professional Ukrainians players of Dynamo Kiev and Nazi representation.
The exhibition “Women and Sport: on the race and on the screen” Female initiative aimed to enhancing the role of women in sport through the movie sports posters with a non-stop projection of a “Special Video” with 50 protagonists of the Olympic Games since 1900. The “Beijing Day” presents original show of photos, memorabilia and sports culture in Beijing towards Expo 2015 when Milano will host the “worldwide” of TV, cinema and sports communication (EXSPORT). Complete the exhibition the ball to FIFA World Cup Italy 90 signed by Pelè.
Among the guests of 2013 edition: President Italian National Olympic Committee Giovanni Malagò, the actor Hugh Laurie, British writer and director well-known protagonist of the series “Dr. House – Medical Division”, Hristo Stoichkov “Golden Ball” in 1994, former Barcelona and Bulgarian National football team player, Francesco Ricci Bitti President of ASOIF (Association of International Sports Federations of Olympic Summer), Laura Milani and Elizabeth Sancassani double gold in the lightweight rowing at the 2013 Chungju World Cup, Martina Caironi gold medal at the 2012 London Paralympic Games, Vincent Candela Champion of world Cup France 1998, Bud Greenspan (“in memory”) the official film director for six editions of the Olympic Games (the wife will attend).
93 film directors and producers have confirmed their attendance.
They are the 92 international broadcasters who have joined to the program “TV SPORTS EMOTIONS” launched by FICTS among 1133 TV sports channels from around the world. On December 7th, will be awarded the ” TV Sports Emotions Award” to “CCTV – China Central television” (China ) as a Best Channel Sports TV of the year.
