Milano (Italy), from 15th to 20th November – will host “SPORT MOVIES & TV 2017 – 35th Milano International FICTS Fest(www.sportmoviestv.com) Final of 16 Festivals (around the 5 Continents) of the “World FICTS ChallengeWorld Championship of Television, Cinema, Communication and Sport Culture. The event – under the slogan “FICTS Is Culture through sport” – is organized by FICTS – Federation Internationale Cinema Television Sportifs, joined with 116 Countries (chaired by Prof. Franco Ascani, member of IOC Culture and Olympic Heritage Commission) recognized by the International Olympic Committee for which it promotes the values of sport through footages.

The seventeenth-century Palazzo Giureconsulti, in the heart of Milan (Piazza Mercanti 2 – Piazza Duomo) will be the “core business” of the event (admission by invitation with accreditation) with 140 Projections (among which 30 worldwide and European premieres in 6 points of projections), 4 Exhibitions, 8 Meetings, 2 Workshop, 2 Press Conference, 30 Awards of international guests, 7 Side Events distributed in 10 locations around Milano. A “Widespread Festival” across the whole of Milan territory which will transform the city into a place dedicated to professionals, fans and tourists of any age.

Sport Movies & Tv 2017will become a privileged meeting place for 5000/6000 operators and industry experts from around the world including Networks, media, broadcastings, houses of productions, producers, directors, filmmakers, Olympic Committees, advertising and integrated communication agencies, that will show the whole universe of cinema and sport television through spot, reportages, fiction, cartoon, etc. in 8 competitive Sections. The media coverage will be guaranteed by the major national and international networks, local stations as well as live streaming from the daily press, by radio, Internet, new media and by the new FICTS Portal www.sportmoviestv.com dedicated to the world of cinema, television, web and sports culture.

This year the access to the Festival is only reserved for those who are accredited.

FICTS will pay the 50% of the cost of the overnight stay to the NASCO HOTEL (4 star – Corso Sempione 69, Milano) for all the period of the Festival if the hotel reservation arrived by and no later than September 30th. The cost of the room for each night is 160 € (single room) and 180 € (double room). FICTS will pay the half of the cost of the room: 80 € (single room for each night) and 90 € (double room for each night).

The “Opening” of the Festival in Piazza Mercanti, 2 (Milano) will be held on November 15th  with the inauguration of the exhibitions at Palazzo Giureconsulti. The event will end on November 20th  at the “World Television Day” at the Lombardy Region.

The “Number 50” will be predominant in 2017. 50 years were passed since the organization of the first Festival in the history of sport cinema (before the birth of the International Federation). It was the “Sport Filmtage Oberhausen – Internationales Film und Fernesh Festival” organized in 1967 – in agreement with the Regulations set out by the FIAPF (Fédération Internationale des Associations de Producteurs de Films) – by the town of Oberhausen, in North Rhine-Westphalia, in conjunction with the “German Sporting Association (DSB)” and in collaboration with the “German Olympic Society (DOG)” and the “Association of the German Sporting Press”. The special event will be celebrated during the 35th  edition of “Sport Movies & Tv”.

The first edition of the “Paralympic International Movies & Tv Festival”, dedicated to the Paralympics Heroes, is scheduled for 2017 in the presence of Sir Philip Craven Past President of the International Paralympic Committee ( IPC) and Dr. Luca Pancalli, President of the Italian Paralympic Committee.

The event, to which will be guaranteed a wide international participation (journalists, operators and industry experts, sport champions, etc.), determines a strong media, tourism and economic impact in the region and it’s a significant “worldwide showcase” for the productions of the 116 Countries.The International Jury (President Dr. Carlo Bozzali), composed by 5 exponents of cinema, television, media, sport and culture coming from Countries that don’t participate to the Festival, will assign “Guirlande d’Honneur” (“Oscar of Cinema and Sport Television”), “Mention d’Honneur”, “Special Awards” for each 8 Sections: 1) Olympic Games; 2) Documentary; 3) Tv Shows – New Technology; 4) Sport & Society; 5) Sport & Disability; 6) Movies; 7) Sport Adverts; 8) Movies & Tv Football. Six days of Cinema, Television and Sport Culture, a privileged meeting place for 6000 operators and industry experts from around the world including Networks, media, broadcastings, houses of productions, producers, directors, filmmakers, Olympic Committees, advertising and integrated communication agencies, that will show the whole universe of cinema and sport television through spot, reportages, fiction, cartoon, etc.
