Milano (Italy), from 14th to 19th November, will host “SPORT MOVIES & TV 2018 – 36th Milano International FICTS Fest” Final of 16 Festivals (around the 5 Continents) of the “World FICTS Challenge” World Championship of Television, Cinema, Communication and Sport Culture. The unique 16 Festivals approved by the FICTS Executive Committee for 2018, expects the following seats: Tehran (Iran), Beijing (China), Rio de Janeiro (Brazil), Rotterdam (Netherlands), Pokhara (Nepal), Buenos Aires (Argentina), Liberec (Czech Rep.), Kingston (Jamaica), Barcelona (Spain), Kampala (Uganda), Sao Paolo (Brazil), Tashkent (Uzbekistan), New York (USA), Lipetsk (Russia), Cote d’Azur (France), Zlatibor (Serbia)
The event – under the slogan “FICTS Is Culture through sport” – is organized by FICTS – Federation Internationale Cinema Television Sportifs, joined with 116 Countries (chaired by Prof. Franco Ascani, member of IOC Culture and Olympic Heritage Commission) recognized by the International Olympic Committee for which it promotes the values of sport through footages.
The seventeenth-century Palazzo Giureconsulti, in the heart of Milan (Piazza Mercanti 2 – Piazza Duomo) will be the “core business” of the event (admission by invitation with accreditation) with 140 Projections (among which 30 worldwide and European premieres in 6 points of projections), 4 Exhibitions, 8 Meetings, 2 Workshop, 2 Press Conference, 30 Awards of international guests, 7 Side Events distributed in 10 locations around Milano. A “Widespread Festival” across the whole of Milan territory which will transform the city into a place dedicated to professionals, fans and tourists of any age.
“Sport Movies & Tv 2018” will become a privileged meeting place for 5000 operators and industry experts from around the world including Networks, media, broadcastings, houses of productions, producers, directors, filmmakers, Olympic Committees, advertising and integrated communication agencies, that will show the whole universe of cinema and sport television through spot, reportages, fiction, cartoon, etc. in 8 competitive Sections. The media coverage will be guaranteed by the major national and international networks, local stations as well as live streaming from the daily press, by radio, Internet, new media and by the new FICTS Portal www.sportmoviestv.com dedicated to the world of cinema, television, web and sports culture.

FICTS will pay the 50% of the cost of the overnight stay in the Hotel (4 stars) in rates with Federation for all the period of the Festival if the hotel reservation arrived by and no later than September 15th.
The Auditorium Testori of Palazzo Lombardia (Piazza Città di Lombardia, 1 – Milano) will host the Opening (November 14th) and the Awarding Ceremonies (November 19th). In the framework of the event will be held the second edition of the “Paralympic International Movies & Tv Festival”, dedicated to the Paralympics Heroes, is scheduled for 2018 in the presence of Dr. Luca Pancalli, President of the Italian Paralympic Committee.
The event, to which will be guaranteed a wide international participation (journalists, operators and industry experts, sport champions, etc.), determines a strong media, tourism and economic impact in the region and it’s a significant “worldwide showcase” for the productions of the 116 Countries.The International Jury (President Dr. Carlo Bozzali), composed by 5 exponents of cinema, television, media, sport and culture coming from Countries that don’t participate to the Festival, will assign “Guirlande d’Honneur” (“Oscar of Cinema and Sport Television”), “Mention d’Honneur”, “Special Awards” for each 7 Sections: 1) Olympic Games; 2) Documentary; 3) Sport & Society; 4) Sport and Disability; 5) Movies; 6) Sport Adverts; 7) Movies & Tv Football.
