Great success for the FICTS Festival in I.R. Iran held in Yazd from 16 to 18 September. The “Award Ceremony” has been opened by the greeting message of FICTS President Prof. Ascani, Member of the IOC Commission for Culture and Olympic Heritage.

Dr Seyed Amir Hosseini, the Acting President of Amateur Federation of Workers Sport of Iran as well as Member of FICTS Festival Commission was among the organizers of the Festival included in the “World FICTS Challenge” Worldwide Championship of Cinema and Sport Television.

Several personalities, Officials, artists and sport communities in the international campus of the University of Medical Science of Yazd attended to the Festival: Abdolhamid Ahmadi, Cultural, education and Research Deputy of the Ministry of Sport and Youth, Seyed Abolfazl Mousavi, Parliamentary Member for Yazd and Askzar, Mohammad Ali Talebi, Political and Security Deputy of the Yazd Governor, Reza Shaji, Advisor to the Minister of Sport of Youth and Strategic Council Secretary of the Ministry of Sport and Youth, Ahmad Pahlevanian, General Director of Yazd Broadcasting, Masood Shariati, Director General of Sport and Youth of Yazd and Deputies of this Office, Board of Directors Members of the Kavir Yazd Cultural and Sport Complex, Colonel Mazidi Social Deputy of Yazd Police Force, Davood Pak Tinat, National Library and Archives Chairman of Yazd..

In this Ceremony the 47 selected works in various Sections:

  2. Professional documentaries
  3. Popular films
  4. Screenplay
  5. Special features, Youth Section
  6. Sport and Environment
  7. Sport and Police
  8. Deaf Sport Section
  9. Sport and Health

Among 148 participating films which were sent to the Festival Secretariat, 47 films were selected. The selected films moved to the next stage of the festival in order to be reviewed by the jury” Masood Shariati, Director General of Sport and Youth of Yazd said.

The winners videos of the Festival will participate in the Final “Sport Movies & Tv 2016” scheduled in Milano from 16 to 21 November.
