Kathmandu, the capital and largest municipality of Nepal, was the seat – on 20 – 21 February – of the second edition of the “Nepal International Sports FICTS Film Festival”. The event was organized – in framework of the “World FICTS Challenge” Worldwide Championship of Cinema and Sport Television – by the Nepal Tourism Board, National Sports Council, Nepal Sports Foundation in collaboration with FICTS and Nepalese Olympic Committee.

The Festival, directed by Surya Thapaliya, was articulated in Projections, meeting and Round Table. A panel discussion titled, “Sports for Peace building” was jointly organized by Search for Common Ground Nepal (SFCG) and Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) to highlight the universal message of unity and peace that sports embodies. Gyanendra Malla (Cricketer), Rabin Shrestha (Football player), Suraj Giri (Sports Commentator), Reecha Sharma (Actor), and Sarita Bartaula (President, Youth Initiative) participated in the panel discussion.
