The documentary “Feyenoord 1999: De Coolsingel liep vol” – in premiere –  on April 6th opened the third edition of “AD Sport Film Festival Rotterdam” schedule in Rotterdam (Netherlands) at “Cinerama Film Theatre”. The “Opening Ceremony” of the Festival – part of the International Circuit “World FICTS Challenge 2017” – attended some champions of the football team that made history of Feyenoord (actually on top of Eredivisie) among which Leo Beenhakker (former trainer of Dutch National Football Team as well as of Real Madrid F.C., etc.), Paul BosveltPeter van Vossen, Jon Dal Tomasson, etc.

On Saturday April 8th, in the framework of the Program “Olympic Images – Olympic Values – Olympic emotions through the world” promoted by FICTS in agreement with the IOC Foundation for Culture and Olympic Heritage, it will be schedule the screening of the Official Film of 1936 Berlin Olympic Games, “Olympia” directed by Leni Riefenstahl (member of “FICTS Hall of Fame”). Then there will be two Olympic themed debates, led by Wilfried de Jong, in wich will intervene, together, personalities of the sports and television world and two Olympic champions who participated in the Rio 2016 Games: the marathon runner Abdi Nageeye and the swimmer Sebastiaan Verschuren. The Festival Program includes – in addition to the screenings of 30 films from 15 countries (in 5 rooms all together) – the Photography exhibition (associated with an “ad hoc” contest) on sporting events in Rotterdam including the Rowing World Cup, the ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament and the “Six days of Rotterdam” (track cycling). Media partners of the event are: AD (national sports daily), RTV Rijnmond (local TV), Andere Tijden Sport (Dutch TV), Sportnext (online platform) and Helden (sports magazine). The winners of the Festival will participate automatically in the World Final “Sport Movies & Tv 2017” scheduled in Milano from 15 to 20 November.
