Ser Miang Ng and Willy Kaltschmitt Lujan (in the picture with FICTS President Prof. Ascani) are the IOC Executive Board members appointed by the Chairman of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Dr. Thomas Bach who led the Evaluation Commission on May 23rd and 24th in Milan, a candidate city to host, in September 2019, the 132nd    IOC Session. The IOC Delegates, together with the delegation of the Italy NOC led by President Giovanni Malagó, met with the highest authorities of the city and of Lombardy (Governor On. Roberto Maroni and the Mayor Beppe Sala) with whom they examined the locations chosen to host the IOC session. The “MiCo – Milano Congressi” Europe’s largest center that can accommodate up to 18.000 people, is the venue that will host the event. The “Opening Ceremony” will be held at the “Teatro alla Scala”. The CIO will officially award the event during the next Session scheduled in Lima (Peru) on  September 17th. The IOC General Assembly usually involve the participation of IOC stakeholders including the IOC Members and Commission’s Members, Presidents and Secretaries of International Sports Federations, representatives of the Candidate Cities that will host the next Olympic Games, among 400 journalists coming from all over the world

Milan – in the some days – will host Sport Movies & Tv 2019” Final of 16 Festivals (in the 5 Continents) of the “World FICTS Challenge” Worldwide Championship of Cinema, Television and Sport Culture. The event is organized by the FICTS – Federation Internationale Cinema Television Sportifs (recognized by the International Olympic Committee for which it promotes the values of sport through footages in its 116 Member Countries), presided by Prof. Franco Ascani, Member of IOC Culture and Olympic Heritage Commission.

FICTS, the only International Federation based in Italy (Milan), promotes and enhances the development of the Olympic Values and the culture of sport disciplines through the use of the power of the sport footages with the two mass media such as television and cinema. In agreement and in close collaboration with the IOC Olympic Foundation for Culture and Heritage, FICTS launched – started from the 2017 edition – the “Olympic Images – Olympic Values” Triennial Project, which includes the projection (even at each stage of the “World FICTS Challenge” Circuit) of exclusive footages of all Olympic Games for the promotion of Olympism and Olympic Culture.

“Sport Movies & Tv”: seven days of Cinema, Television and Sport Culture, a privileged meeting place for 6000 operators and industry experts from around the world including Networks, media, broadcastings, houses of productions, producers, directors, filmmakers, Olympic Committees, advertising and integrated communication agencies, that will show the whole universe of cinema and sport television through spot, reportages, fiction, cartoon, etc. in 8 competitive Sections. The Festival, characterized by a wide international participation (journalists, sports champions and Sports Institutions, etc.) will be articulated in Projections (with worldwide and European premieres), Meetings, Workshop, Exhibitions, Press Conference, Awards of international guests, Side Events. The 2017 edition of “Sport Movies & Tv” will be held in Milano from November 15th to 20th. Registration are open.
