The President of FICTS Prof. Franco Ascani inaugurated today the “Beijing International FICTS Festival”

Today the President of FICTS Prof. Franco Ascani officially opened the 13th edition of the “Beijing International FICTS Festival” (during the Beijing International Sports Film Week), which was held in Beijing, China, until August 14, organized by FICTS (Fédération Internationale Cinema Télévision Sportifs) in collaboration with the BODA (Beijing Olympic Development Association). The “Beijing International Sports Film Week”, whose theme is “Winter Olympic Dream with Sports Emotions”, is divided into Projections, Exhibitions, Awards, Meetings (including one on world sports cinema). There are 60 works from 11 nations, competing for “Beijing International Sports Film Week”, divided into four Sections including the “Winter Sports” theme created to further promote Beijing’s forthcoming Winter Olympics 2022. The best works chosen by the Jury will take part in “Sport Movies & Tv 2017” scheduled in Milan (Italy) from November 15th to 20th. More information at http://www.sportsfilm.org/.

During his stay in Beijing, Prof. Ascani will meet qualified Chinese sports exponents and local institutions including BODA Vice-President Dr. Jiang Xiaoyu, the leaders of the BOCOG (Beijing Olympic Winter Games Organizing Committee 2022) and Chinese National Olympic Committee.
