The hopes of a debut, the irrepressible joy of a victory, the despair of a sudden mourning; sport journalism had in Rai great chroniclers who were able to tell all of this, so readily but never lose the freshness of emotions and the strength of sports passion, which was one of the essential ingredients of national identity. Among the characters of the work, Beppe Viola and Gianni Rivera, Gianni Brera and Nereo Rocco, Fausto Coppi, Sergio Zavoli, Gigi Meroni, Gigi Riva, Omar Sivori, Muhammad Alì, Ayrton Senna, Pietro Mennea and Marco Pantani.
