“Sport Movies & Tv 2014 – 32nd Milano International FICTS Fest” Final of World Championship of TV, Cinema, Communication and Sport Culture “World FICTS 2014” Challenge, Circuit of 16 Festival in 5 Continents was started. The event organization refers to FICTS (Fédération Internationale Cinéma Télévision Sportifs), 113 Members Countries officially recognized by International Olympic Committee (IOC) with seat in Milan, presides over Prof. Franco Ascani, IOC Member of Culture and Olympic Education Commission.
Auditorium Testori of Palazzo della Regione Lombardia (Piazza Lombardia, 1 angolo Via Melchiorre Gioia, 37 – Milano) will host December 4th the “Opening Ceremony” (6 pm) and “Award Ceremony”. Palazzo Giureconsulti (Piazza Mercanti 2, Milano – angolo Piazza Duomo) will be the “core business” of the event scheduled, free entry, of 150 Projections among 958 received from 55 Countries of 50 Sports Disciplines (with 25 European and Worldwide Previews and 30 hours of exclusive Olympic images) (for 6 days in 5 different spots simultaneously), 8 Meetings, 4 Conventions , 2 Workshop, 4 Exhibitions, 2 Press Conferences, 30 Award Ceremonies, 4 Related events.
The film “La Grande Olimpiade”, the official film of the Games of Rome, has been restored by the International Olympic Committee as part of its patrimonial responsibility in a collaboration with Istituto Luce and with the full support of CONI. This 4K digital restoration, by “Immagine Ritrovata of Bologna”, can only be seen as a ‘work in progress’. Sadly the original negative for Romolo Marcellini’s ‘Olympic’ masterpiece is lost. Consequently, after exhaustive research both in Italy and elsewhere, we were obliged to base the restoration around the best surviving elements. This presentation by FICTS in Milano will be the first digital screening of this restoration.
THE EXHIBITIONS
There are 5 exhibitions in “Sport Movies & Tv 2014”:
“Winter sports in Beijing”: from China the original and unpublished exhibition with photos, memorabilia and sports culture of Beijing, the host city of the Olympic Games in 2008 and bid city for the Olympic Winter Games in 2022 with the screening of the film uninterrupted sports Chinese production at the Beijing Day. the exhibition will be inaugurated by Dr. Jiang Xiaoyu V. Chairman of BODA (Beijing Olympic City Development Association).
“State of grace” cured by International Olympic Committee: thanks to technological progress, images, be they televised or photographic, have made major sports events extremely popular. Virtuosity can be found on both sides of the lens. To take a breathtaking shot, you need not only good reflexes, but also a good eye, and an exceptional ability to see things.

“Sport Movies & Tv 2014” will be broadcasted for 5 days on RAI Sport 1 television channel devoted entirely to the sport of RAI. A daily program of 20 minutes with the most beautiful images of the videos in competition.
