Dr Abulfas Garayev Minister of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Azerbaijan opens 2 BAKU INTERNATIONAL FICTS FESTIVAL at “Nizami Cinema Center”, multifunctional cinema (the largest theatre in the South Caucasus). The International event – organized by Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Azerbaijan in collaboration with the Ministry of Sport and Youth and the Azerbaijani Olympic Committee – it’s part of the “World FICTS Challenge” Worldwide Championship of Cinema and Sport Television articulated into 18 Festivals in the 5 Continents organized by FICTS (Fédération Internationale Cinéma Télévision Sportifs, joined with 113 Countries) recognized by the IOC.
FICTS President Prof. Franco Ascani during the Press Conference of the Festival together with the President of the Jury Dr Endre Gabor Florian and with the director of the film En Solitaire directed by French director Christophe Offenstein screened at the Opening.

The Festival – organized in the same period of the 43rd General Assembly of the European Olympic Committees – will be a promotional moment for sport in Azerbaijan on the eve of the first edition of the “European Games” that will take place in June 2015.
