Kazan (Rep. of Tatarstan – Russia), after the success of “2015 Kazan Worldwide Final of World FICTS Challenge” organized in conjunction with the FINA Swimming World Championships, will host the “KAZAN SPORT E-MOTIONS – International FICTS Festival”. The event, organized by the Ministry of Sport and Youth of the Republic of Tatarstan under the aegis of the FICTS – Federation Internationale Cinema Television Sportifs (joined with 114 Member Countries and recognized by the International Olympic Committee) as part of the Worldwide Championship of Television, Cinema, Sport, Culture and Communication (articulated in 18 Festivals around the 5 Continents), it will be scheduled for 12 to 16 May 2016 during the Sambo European Championships, the sport that made its debut during the first 2015 Baku European Games and that strive for enter as a demonstrative discipline in 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games. The agreement for the organization of the Festival in Kazan, “Sports Capital of Russia” (it was, among the others, the seat of the Universiade 2013 and the 2014 World Fencing Championships), was signed in Lausanne (Switzerland) at the end of the meeting between Prof. Franco Ascani FICTS President and Dr Olga Pavlova Member of the Organizing Committee of the 2015 Worldwide Final and of the Phase of “World FICTS Challenge 2016” on behalf of Dr Diana Safarova Festival Director General (Member in FICTS International Festival Commission).
A moment of the “Opening Ceremony” of “2015 Kazan Worldwide Final of World FICTS Challenge”
The President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, who showed a particular interest in hosting an international event in Kazan connected to sports culture, will attend to the official Ceremonies of the Festival together with the highest institutional, civil and military Authorities of the Republic of Tatarstan, with the Presidents and Representatives of the International Sports Federations let alone the officials of the International Olympic Committee, including the Minister of Sport and Youth of the Republic of Tatarstan Mr Vladimir Aleksandrovich Leonov and the Deputy Mr Khalil Shaykhutdinov, the President of SPORTACCORD and ASOIF (Association of Summer Olympic International Federations) Mr Francesco Ricci Bitti.
The multiplex Cinema “3D Port” will be the “Core business” of the Festival articulated in Projections, Workshops and Awarding Ceremony of Olympic champions, famous international guests of television, sport and cinema with the participation of the main world’s television networks. On the occasion of “2016 Olympic Year” will be arranged a space “Emotions of Sports” where will project on the screen, without interruption, the most beautiful images of the Olympic Games of all time. One day will be dedicated to the projection of the official film (restored) of the “1980 Moscow Olympic Games” with the aim to promote the Olympic culture and its priceless values.
CCTV – China Central Television (China), SVT – Television Sverige (Sweden), TVP Sport (Poland), Channel One Russia, Czech Television (Czech Rep.) are some of the world’s networks in competition in the “KAZAN SPORT E-MOTIONS – International FICTS Festival” that – through 35 different sports (football, rugby, martial arts, boxing, cycling, etc.) coming from 25 countries – will provide to the audience an opportunity to relive some magical sporting moments, thanks to images of spectacular performances, powerful emotions and unforgettable memories. The winners will participate into “Sport Movies & Tv 2016”, Final of the 18 Festival scheduled in Milano (Italy) on November 15 – 20.

There will be two Exhibitions. “Woman and Sport at cinema” (organized by FICTS) with 30 copies of posters of the best films in which the woman is the protagonist and “The Sambo History” organized by the European Sambo Federation. There will also organized, among others, events for school children and, in particular, a social program which will allow socially unprotected young people to be a part of the celebrations. Alongside projections and Master-Classes for cinematographers, directors, producers and journalists, there will be scheduled a Meeting on topic “Cinema and Sport” (“2016 Year of cinema for Russia”) with the participation of actors, producers, industry experts and a Workshop on topic “Culture, Youth and Sport”.
The Press Conference presentation of the Festival, scheduled on May 10, will also attend the FICTS President Prof. Franco Ascani who, at the end of works in Lausanne, has declared “Kazan has become an important reference point for FICTS and for all the branch of cinema, Television and international communication”.
