It’s started “SPORT MOVIES & TV 2016 – 34th Milano International FICTS Fest” Final of 16 Festivals (around the 5 Continents) of the “SPORT E-MOTIONS World FICTS Challenge” World Championship of Television, Cinema, Communication and Sport Culture.

The event – under the slogan “FICTS Is Culture through sport” – is organized by FICTS – Federation Internationale Cinema Television Sportifs, joined with 116 Countries (chaired by Prof. Franco Ascani, member of IOC Culture and Olympic Heritage Commission) recognized by the International Olympic Committee for which it promotes the values of sport through footages.

 

On Thursday November 17th, at “SPORT MOVIES & TV 2016 – 34th Milano International FICTS Fest”, will take place the FICTS General Assembly and the Presentation of the “World Ficts Challenge 2017” by the organizers of each phase (only for FICTS Members): July Pernas (Spagna), Jiang XiaoYu e Li Hong Yan (Cina), Philippe Housiaux e Philippe Soetens (Belgio), Dean Kibirige (Uganda), Surya Thapaliya (Nepal), Pavel Landa e Vladmir Bohac  (Rep. Ceca), Nikolay Porokhovnik (Russia), Pat Battistini (USA), Antonio Leal (Brasile), Lisette Eijgelsheim (Olanda), Ivan Coste Manière e Etienne Delhaye (Francia), Sabir Ruziev (Uzbekistan), Seyed Amir Hosseini (Iran), Josè Joaquim e Josè Candido Soares (Brasile), Harsha B. Abeykoon (Sri Lanka).

At 12 am there will be the presentation of “Olympic Movies” by IOC – Olympic Foundation for Culture and Heritage and at 12.30 am the exhibition opening of “Beijing International Sports Film Week” realized by BODA (Beijing Olympic City Development Association).

In Sala Esposizioni of Palazzo Giureconsulti, at 3 pm Pietro Mennea’s projection will open the second day of the Festival. At 5.30 pm, there will be the projection of “The Idroscalo breath/ Il respire dell’Idroscalo” by Serena Savardi. A round trip to the discovery of Milan’s Idroscalo: origins, history and curiosity, state of the art, prospectives. Narrated by the voices of some of its protagonists, it focus on a green area, symbol of excellence in water sports at international level.

In Sala Parlamentino at 6 pm, the video monologue “The sport of living: Mind or Heart/Lo sport di vivere: Testa o Cuore?”, presented by Carlo Nesti and directed by Luciano Somma. The video investigates the psychological integration between sport and life, using images and music.

In Sala Colonne at 8.30 pm, a special projection with the preview of “An Hundred millions of strokes/Cento milioni di Bracciate” by Donatella Cervi. The extraordinary story of Leo Callone, Italian athlete able to go around the world twice and he holds the records of crossing the English Channel for more than 25 years. This is the story of a great swimmer and his land but how a great sport can become solidarity in order to built an Hospital in Guatemala dedicated to his son died after 5 years fighting a illness still without therapy.
