FICTS President Prof. Franco Ascani, “Guest of Honor” at the 20th edition of the “Liberec International FICTS Festival” in Czech Republic (October 4th to 6th), has met, in Prague, Petr Dvořák CEO of Česká Televize.
Prof. Ascani was guest of the sport program presented live by Jakub Bazant on the TV channel. He released an exclusive interview about the FICTS mission, the Liberec Festival (that starts on October 6th) and the “Sport Movies & Tv” Final scheduled in Milano (Italy) from November 15th to 20th where Česká Televize participates, since long time, with several productions. At the of the program, Prof. Ascani awarded with “FICTS Medaillon d’Honneur” the Česká Televize CEO Dr Petr Dvořák

The Festival in Liberec is organized – in the framework of the Worldwide Championship of the Cinema and sport television “World FICTS Challenge” – by the “Sports and Physical Training Organization” of Liberec in collaboration with FICTS, Czech Olympic Committee, the Czech Union of Sport, Film and Television Association (FITES). The promoter of the Festival is Liberec Sport and Physical Education Organizations, Regional Organizations ČSTV in district Liberec. The Festival, presided by Milan Jirásek and by the V. President Vladimír Boháč, is directed by Dr Pavel Landa. “Sportfilm Liberec International FICTS Festival 2017” is an international competitive Festival of television and film images focusing on “Olympic Idea, Olympic Games and Sport”. The aim of festival is to award the best Pictures in particular categories and the best image of all categories.
The seat of Česká Televize in Prague
The Festival is intended to help the development of Olympic Ideas due to sports film, document a reportages. The main presentation of competitive shots, other non-commercial screening of entries pictures and archive picture from Festival’s archive is held in the Czech Television, in internet, in schools, public spaces and other facilities due to Festival organizing committee. The Jury – presided by František Kolář – will assign the prizes glass figurines “Ještídek” to the winners in six competitive Categories: 1) Olympic Games – Olympic Ideas; 2) Documentary Shots; 3) Sports Personalities; 4) Children and Sport; 5) Reports; 6) Methodical and popularizing televizion and film images.
